Instructor: Nalani Kaai

Aloha, my name is Nalani. I’m 20 years old and I have been dancing for 12 years. I was born and raised here in Honolulu, Hawaii, but I’m currently a rising senior at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. In case you were wondering, I’m majoring in Sociology with a minor in Social Work and I plan to attend UH Manoa for graduate school in order to get my Master’s in Social Work. Over the years, I’ve trained in many styles such as hip hop, contemporary, jazz, ballet and ballroom. (I even did a break dancing class one summer if that counts too!) Currently, I’m on Pepperdine’s dance company entitled Dance in Flight and I was most recently a hip hop choreographer for our annual showcase back in February. Hip hop has always been my favorite dance style so I’m excited to teach it at The Academy!

A message to our community about Covid-19

We Are Temporarily Closed

In light of the developments regarding COVID-19, I’d like to first say that our thoughts are with those affected by the virus in the U.S. and around the globe. At The Academy, the well-being and safety of our students, clients, and communities are our top priority. For this reason, we are suspending all classes until it is deemed safe to return by our local government.
